Hoedown In The Dunes 2026

Three days and four nights of country-western dancing fun for the LGBTQ+ community, at the beautiful Dunes Resort in the gay friendly communities of Saugatuck/Douglas, Michigan. 

Registration for dancers is $90, which includes:

• Evening dances on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and Sunday Tea Dance
• Workshops on Saturday and Sunday (schedule to be announced)
• Thursday evening pizza
• Friday evening Hoedown Howdy reception, with food
• Sunday BBQ before Tea Dance
• Sunday night closing party

Registration for non-dancers is $50, which includes:

• Thursday evening pizza
• Friday evening Hoedown Howdy reception, with food
• Sunday BBQ before Tea Dance
• Sunday night closing party

A meal package for Saturday and Sunday breakfasts may be purchased for $35.

Rooms at The Dunes Resort start at $169/night for the first two nights. The third and fourth nights are $75/night. 

Registration for those who attended in 2025 will open on Tuesday, January 13, at 11:00am Eastern/Michigan time (10:00am Central/Chicago, 8:00am Pacific/California times). 

Registration for everyone will open Tuesday January 27 - 10:00am Central Time (8:00am Pacific; 11:00am Eastern). When capacity is reached, a waiting list will be started. 

All registrations are a separate transaction. If in the past you have registered yourself and another person in the same transaction, please note that is no longer possible. Each attendee will need to register in a separate transaction. 

Click "Register now!" at left on desktop, above on mobile, or below and select 1 as the number of registrations you are purchasing, then click "Save to Cart." You will be asked to enter your badge name. Include your pronouns if you wish to. After completing your badge name, your registration will be in your cart. 

To purchase a t-shirt and/or meal package, click on "Continue Shopping" and add those items to your cart.
When you have added all items to your cart, click "Next Step" and proceed to check-out. 

We accept debit/credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and PayPal. "Credit Card" is the default setting and will go to a "YapSecure" payment page. You can enter your card information or select Apple or Google Pay. Payments will be processed by Square. 

Important information about lodging - please read closely.

Rooms at The Dunes Resort cannot be reserved on-line. Within a day after registering, you will receive an email from Hoedown asking: 

• Your name and names of your planned roommates
• Check-in and check-out dates
• Preferred room type and number of beds
• Name of person who will call The Dunes Resort to pay the deposit

Requests will be prioritized based on registration date and time. If you are planning to share your room, it will work best if one person in your group submits all the names in one request. Hoedown will contact you if clarification is needed. Within a week of submitting your room request, you will receive an email letting you know if your request can be accommodated and if so, with instructions to call the resort and an authorization code to secure your room with a deposit. Room reservations cannot be made on-line and will not be taken by phone without having an authorization code from Hoedown. Please note that while Hoedown may contact you to request consideration of a different room type than you requested, Hoedown will not assign a roommate to anyone. 

When the resort is sold out, we will provide information about off-site lodging nearby. If you register for the event and request lodging at The Dunes, but cannot be accommodated and do not wish to stay off-site, you can receive a full refund of your registration. 

You will receive an email confirming your registration. Your badge, program, meal tickets, and t-shirt will be available at Hoedown. You do not need to bring your emailed tickets, but please keep the email with the attachment.
